It is yet another big win and proud moment for Team RBZ as the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe
clinched the Best Public Sector Exhibit Award at the recently concluded Zimbabwe
International Trade Fair (ZITF).
The award is adjudicated on several criteria, including the strength and execution of the
exhibitors’ theme and story, overall stand design and ambience, originality as well as the
effective integration of the ZITF theme into the exhibition narrative.
Team RBZ’s exhibition successfully told the Bank’s story in line with its core mandate of
ensuring price and financial sector stability, demonstrating the critical role of a stable
currency in driving economic growth and competitive industries. This messaging was aligned
with the 2026 ZITF theme, “Connected Economies, Competitive Industries.”
Key messages showcased at the stand included the recently launched BiG5 ZiG upgraded
banknotes, the monumental shift by the Bank, which has ushered single digit inflation in
more than 30 years, other monetary policy milestones and trajectory including clarifying
public misconceptions and responding to frequently asked questions.
The ZITF also served as a platform to educate the public on financial inclusion initiatives
being spearheaded by the Central Bank.
The ZITF achievement add to the list of “firsts” achieved by the Reserve Bank recently,
underscoring Governor Dr. John Mushayavanhu’s commitment to institutional excellence,
reinforcing the principle that the Central Bank must demonstrate professionalism and
excellence in all areas as it continues to rebuild the brand.
In 2026 alone RBZ has clinched the following awards:
- Governor Dr. J. Mushayavanhu Overall Best Performer under the CEOs for
Regulatory SOEs Category at the 2026 President’s Performance Contracts Signing
and Awards Ceremony - Inter Central Bank Games overall winner
